Meet Jonathan Darko Ntim

Jonathan Darko Ntim is a professionally trained Sign Language Interpreter with over a decade of experience bridging communication between the Deaf and hearing communities across Ghana and internationally. As a proud CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), Jonathan’s work isn’t just a profession; it’s personal. He grew up navigating both worlds and has since turned that lived experience into a powerful tool for advocacy, education, and connection.
His unique ability to move fluidly between legal courtrooms, health institutions, conferences, classrooms, and digital platforms makes him one of the most versatile interpreters in the field. Jonathan has worked with high-profile clients and organisations, but what truly sets him apart is his passion for people and his commitment to making the world more accessible, one sign at a time.
But here’s the fun twist: Jonathan is also a die-hard anime and music lover who has been known to flawlessly interpret Naruto fight scenes and choreograph sign language interpretations to popular dance tracks. Need someone to interpret the Shadow Clone Jutsu or throw in a Ghanaian Sign Language remix of a trending TikTok sound? Jonathan's got you.
Currently, he’s combining his tech interest and accessibility passion to develop Viso, a groundbreaking app (still in development) designed to connect Deaf users with certified interpreters, especially in healthcare and emergencies. The app will also feature conversation transcripts, user-friendly icons, and an intuitive interface to ensure communication is never compromised.
Whether he's interpreting in high-stakes environments or creating more inclusive digital spaces, Jonathan lives by one mantra: “Communication is a right, not a privilege.”

To bridge communication gaps through interpretation, and to design inclusive digital experiences that ensure Deaf and marginalised users are not just included, but fully seen, heard, and empowered.
